Reg and Rog are comic referee characters for sports-themed functions in Sydney. Head referee Reg can take the microphone as MC, while assistant Rog roves among the guests. Whistles, cards and improvised exchanges turn the conventions of a sporting fixture into event comedy.
Performed by Charles Anthony and Shane, the duo can welcome arrivals, run competitions and present awards. Their programme has included an SBS Media World Cup celebration. The characters allow hosting duties and informal guest entertainment to continue within the same sporting theme.
