The Chimbleys

The Chimbleys are a pair of chimney-sweep characters who perform slapstick comedy on stilts. Big boots, bickering and improvised banter give the Sydney act its visual and verbal humour as the sweeps move through an event. Michelle Seaton and Soledad Cordeaux bring backgrounds in mime, clowning and physical theatre to the characters. They have appeared at weddings, around the Rocks and at Maitland Steam Festival. Their sweeping routine creates opportunities for interaction, with guests becoming part of the comic encounter as the pair pass by.
