Bois et Charbon

Bois et Charbon play the swing style associated with Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli. Based in Fawkner, the quartet feature Brennan Hamilton-Smith on clarinet, Paul McIver and Ash Kluss on guitars, and Jon Delaney on double bass. The group began in 2007 and draw on their members' music studies in Australia and France. Their repertoire includes jazz standards and pieces from the French swing tradition of the 1930s and 1940s.
