Gypsy Nights

Gypsy Nights is the Melbourne duo of Phil Carroll and Ernie Gruner, pairing accordion with fiddle. Their repertoire ranges through jazz, continental songs, folk melodies and light classical music. They can wander among guests acoustically or use amplification, and bass and drums can be added for dance-oriented functions. Carroll also plays flute and keyboards and sings, while Gruner's violin experience includes folk ensembles and string quartet work.
