Jeannie Lushes & The Blues Boys

Jeannie Lushes moved from rockabilly into the gospel and blues music that first caught her ear. With The Blues Boys, that background becomes a Melbourne band sound that also draws on soul and rock. Guitar, bass, drums and horns sit behind the vocals, with electric and double bass among the instruments in the ensemble. The group grew out of Lushes' earlier project, with blues remaining central to its performances and the wider mix of styles heard in its music.
