Accordion music, cowbells and yodelling are central to Alpen Duo's Austrian and German folk performances. Ross and Anna Stewart bring different musical backgrounds to the partnership, from military band training to accordion accompaniment for traditional dancers. Based in Manypeaks in Western Australia's Great Southern region, they perform in Austrian dress for Oktoberfest events and private celebrations. Their instruments also include trumpet, saxophone and clarinet. Alongside folk entertainment, the duo offers concert presentations and demonstrations for schools.
