Mythology and Celtic traditions inform Spiral Dance's original songs. The Adelaide folk-rock band combines Adrienne Piggott's vocals with fiddle, guitar and button accordion, supported by bass and drums. Traditional influences sit alongside the group's own writing, with recordings including The Quickening and the live album Worts 'n' All. Formed in 1992, Spiral Dance has performed at Australian folk festivals and toured the United States, building a show around songs, instrumental textures and storytelling.
