La Mezcla are a Melbourne Latin fusion band formed in 1998. Their repertoire brings together salsa, cumbia, son and merengue with Latin pop, R&B and hip-hop influences. They perform songs in English and Spanish and have also recorded original Spanish-language material. Their event history includes Moomba and the Johnston Street Hispanic Festival, alongside shows at Melbourne Latin venues and Monash University. Later repertoire additions include music by Shakira, Santana and Gloria Estefan.
