King Bell and Soukous Ba Congo combine African music, percussion and choreographed dance. Bell sings, dances and plays percussion, drawing on a performance background that includes the Angolan National Ballet. He founded Soukous Lokole in Australia before the group took the name Soukous Ba Congo. The Melbourne ensemble has appeared at festivals including WOMADelaide and Queenscliff, and its recorded work includes Zonga Zonga. Dancers and percussion solos form part of the live presentation.
