Chaika

Sydney six-piece Chaika combine vocal harmonies with clarinet, violin, piano, guitar, double bass, accordion and percussion. Their music draws on Balkan traditions and contemporary jazz, with ensemble arrangements that also reflect classical influences. The group has toured around Australia, including performances at Dorrigo Folk and Bluegrass Festival and Jungle Love Festival. Each member brings experience from other musical collaborations to the group's shared approach to composition and performance.
