Fiddler Chris Duncan and pianist Catherine Strutt perform traditional Scottish music as a Newcastle duo. Playing together since 1990, they have appeared at festivals, concerts, dances and wedding ceilidhs in Australia and overseas. Their first album, Fyvie's Embrace, received the 2000 ARIA Award for world music. Later recordings include The Red House and Carriages at Midnight, with their repertoire drawing on slow airs and Scottish dance tunes.
