Reels, jigs and Irish songs are central to The Tinkers. Fiddle, tenor banjo, bouzouki and whistle feature alongside guitar and bodhran, with several members sharing vocals. Based in Wombarra, the group performs at festivals and clubs as well as galleries, house concerts and smaller acoustic shows. The repertoire moves between dance tunes and quieter airs or ballads. Songs include The Parting Glass and The Leaving of Liverpool, giving the instrumental sets a vocal counterpart.
