Esi

Esi, formerly known as Mawuli, is a Ghanaian Australian R&B artist based in Sydney, singing from a young age and raised in a church choir. That grounding in soul is still audible. She has shared a stage with Nigeria's Victony and performed alongside Mike Champion, Yawdoesitall, Boom Child and Mike Akox, The Showman. Her work extends into fashion and dance, with showcases and collaborations for JD Sports, Nike, Converse All Stars and the ARIAs. She recently took part in a masterclass with Vivian Sessoms through the Black Music Alliance. Vice Artist Spotlight described her stage presence as boisterous and free, which fits. Her single BEGGING is out and an EP is in the works.
