The Everly Brothers worked because two voices knew each other that well. Rob and Darby are lifetime friends rather than brothers, and they bring their own version of that connection to the harmonies. Bye Bye Love, Wake Up Little Susie, Cathy's Clown and When Will I Be Loved sit at the centre of it, backed by some of Brisbane's better players. The show has sold out in Brisbane already. It is a clap-along, sing-along night rather than a reverent one, which is probably how the songs were meant to be heard anyway.
