A Sydney-based selector, Evie moves across eras of dance music rather than staying in one decade, drawing on balearic sounds, street soul, dream pop and a strain of new wave to set nostalgic and contemporary tracks side by side. Sets have run alongside Jex Opolis, Paula Tape, Pender Street Steppers and Soichi Terada on the international side, and closer to home there have been shared bills with Caravan, Mike Who, Lauren Hansom and Adi Toohey. That range across styles and eras shapes a set built more on mood and pairing than on chasing a single sound.
