Danna and Rachel Simmons are a husband and wife songwriting duo working out of the Dandenong Ranges, and Fallow Fields is the alt-country band built around them. Their debut album Rocky Head Road debuted at number 2 on the ARIA Australian Country Chart, number 15 on the Australian Album Chart, and was the best-selling country album on Bandcamp in its first week across vinyl, CD and digital. Two decades of singing together shows in the harmonies. The songs are unguarded about love and loss, and that vulnerability is the point rather than a side effect.
