Face painting is the core of what Fantasy Art does, run out of Sydney by artist Anne Pulk with a team of painters alongside her. Add balloon twisting, glitter tattoos and themed characters, and one booking covers most of the kids' side of a party. The designs are the selling point. A good painter turns a queue of children into an event of its own, and the artists here take the craft seriously rather than stamping out the same butterfly forty times. Every artist on the team holds a current Working With Children Check, and the business carries insurance. Adults tend to line up too, which nobody should be embarrassed about.
