About this act
Sally and Phil front Fiction, and they're the two you deal with from the first message through to the day itself. No agency layer, no swapped-out lineup. The band works Melbourne weddings, corporate events and private functions, and won the ABIA award for Best Live Wedding Band in Victoria in 2023. Reception music runs as three 50 minute sets, with a cocktail trio and an acoustic ceremony duo available either side of it. The song list leans modern pop and party: Valerie, Pompeii, Uptown Funk, Shut Up and Dance, Blank Space, Sweet Home Alabama, April Sun in Cuba. Requests get learned if there's time. Sound and lighting are supplied, so they need two separate power outlets and a flat clear space. Public liability insurance held.
