Latin music travelled a long way from 1800s Cuba before it reached the world's pop charts in the 1930s, and by the fifties and sixties it was everywhere. Fiesta Viva play from that lineage: salsa, cha-cha, bolero, son cubano, plus the flamenco rumba sound made famous by the Gipsy Kings. Congas, bongos and the rest of the Latin percussion family give the whole thing its flavour. Available from a quartet upwards, so you can size the band to the room and still get the real instruments rather than a backing track.
