Filippo

Phil is a roving accordionist, and roving is genuinely what the instrument is best at: the sound carries down a room without a PA. He takes requests, sings in fifteen languages, and specialises in French and Italian material alongside European ballads and popular song. Getting a crowd laughing, dancing or singing along is the actual job, and he's as comfortable with a school audience as with an aged care one. Performances have included the 2001 Lord Mayor's Ball, the Park Hyatt, the Treasury, Chez Bob, Les Halles, Cafe de France and Borsht and Tears, plus tours of New Zealand and New Caledonia and sixty appearances on SBS with Gabriel Gate. The Herald Sun's Ron Reed once described him strolling the MCG Long Room in a beret and striped shirt playing French music. Based in Preston.
