Flambe

A chef who juggles a coconut, a lemon and a carving knife while balanced on a unicycle. That is Flambe, a roving character built by Collin Bogaars around fifteen years of performing in Australia and overseas. The act runs on kitchen props: a chopstick, a bowl, a turkey baster, fire torches, a whip. There's fire eating, contortion with cups and saucers, and percussion knocked out on cooking implements, all of it aimed straight at the crowd rather than played to a stage. Flambe has worked the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival, the Taste festival in Tasmania and La Festa in Griffith, plus shopping centres, libraries, corporate events and product launches. Bookable as roving entertainment, a feature show or event MC, with or without the fire.
