FRIDA AFLAME DUO

FRIDA AFLAME DUO turns a party set into a playful Frida Kahlo-inspired fantasy. Brazilian singer Juliana Areias appears in character, singing and playing castanets alongside a flamenco guitarist. The music pulls from flamenco, Santana, La Bamba, the Gipsy Kings and bolero, then folds in Brazilian popular songs associated with artists such as Cássia Eller, Maria Rita, Milton Nascimento and Djavan.
