G-Man & The Powerhouse

Gaurav, known to Melbourne audiences as G-Man, has been a professional frontman for over 17 years, with regular shows around the city and performances overseas. His influences run from U2 and Led Zeppelin through John Mayer and Tracy Chapman to Marvin Gaye and Chaka Khan, and the band's set reflects that spread: rock, pop, soul, reggae, blues and funk, plus the covers a room expects to hear. The line-up scales to the event. G-Man alone with a guitar for an acoustic set. Add percussion for a duo, keys or sax for a trio, then bass, drums and guitar for a four or five piece, and a female vocalist for the full six. When the band finishes, the same crew offers a DJ set to keep the floor going, or a solo or duo acoustic set paired with a DJ for events that want both. Based in Cheltenham.
