Jagwa has spent a great many hours on dance floors himself, and it shows in how he reads one. The sets tangle house and trance together, shot through with a love of percussive and wonky sounds that keeps things from getting predictable. Groove is the priority throughout. Knowing what actually moves a crowd is a different kind of knowledge from knowing a lot of records, and this comes from the former.
