Nine pieces, four of them rhythm, three of them horns, plus male and female lead vocals out front. Gotham City Horns have been going since 1991 and they've spent a fair bit of that time backing other people: Tom Jones at the Indy Grand Prix Drivers Ball, Jimmy Barnes and Kate Ceberano at the People's Choice Awards, Don Lane with the Sydney Kings, and appearances with James Morrison, Anthony Warlow and Barry Crocker. TV work includes the SBS Soccer Awards. They handle play ons, play offs and stings for award nights, and they'll break down to a solo piano, a jazz trio or a funky quintet as the evening changes. Themes from Prohibition to Carnival to Batman are all fair game.
