Groove Resolution

Take a Taylor Swift song and play it as 1920s hot jazz. That's the whole idea behind Groove Resolution, an Albury band that rebuilds current pop and rock in the styles of another decade: thirties and forties swing, fifties doo wop, sixties Motown, a bit of Latin. The Veronicas, John Farnham, AC/DC and Ariana Grande all get the treatment. If you know Postmodern Jukebox or Scary Pockets you'll recognise the approach, and the band will happily cover those groups' arrangements too, though most of what they play is their own. It works because the crowd knows every song but hasn't heard it like this.
