Groove Vultures are a Melbourne garage rock band with clear metal influences running through them and a deliberate pull away from the conventional. Garage rock with metal underneath is a heavier and uglier proposition than either genre manages on its own, and that combination is plainly the whole point rather than an accident of who joined the band. Not one for a polite room, and they would not want to be booked into one. If you want something with edges left on it, this is the sort of band worth a look.
