Gül

Gül is Adelaide's only professional belly dancer of Middle Eastern heritage, and the Turkish, Arabic and Greek communities in the city book her constantly. She performs both traditional and contemporary oriental dance, and the show can be shaped around the ethnicity of the room. Props come out depending on the piece: swords, veils, fan veils, canes, zils and Isis wings. Book her solo, add Adalia, another Adelaide belly dancer, or bring in Harry on darbuka for live Middle Eastern percussion. Shows run 10, 15 or 20 minutes and suit family gatherings, social events and corporate nights.
