Jazz from the 1920s through to the 1940s, played by a Newcastle ensemble drawn from musicians of very different backgrounds. Half Nelson range from New Orleans jazz to open improvisation and most points between, and the era focus is deliberate rather than a novelty. It plays well across generations, which is exactly the problem a wedding guest list poses. Something quite different to book if you want the day to sound like nobody else's.
