Hazel & The Thief

Hazel's sound is uniquely Australiana: slightly bluegrass, deeply Celtic and firmly alt-country, built on haunting melodies and lyrics you can picture. She was raised on Graeme Connors, Slim Dusty and Kasey Chambers while drawing just as much from Celine Dion, Jewel, Shania Twain and Alison Krauss. Her debut album reached number one on the ARIA Australian Country charts with six singles hitting the top ten of the AMRAP and Australian Country Radio charts. Produced by multi-award winner Matt Fell, the music mixes fast fiddle and Celtic rock with harmonica and banjo. She plays stripped back folk in small rooms and foot-stomping roots sets at festivals like the Melbourne Muster and Horsham RegFest.
