Hector Patricio

Hector Patricio is a Mexican guitarist and singer based in Sydney, and the ambition behind the act is a genuine mariachi sound that stretches well beyond Mexico. Cuban, Ecuadorian, Chilean and Venezuelan material sits in the repertoire, along with Gypsy Kings songs and familiar English language hits reworked with Mexican, Latino and flamenco rumba rhythms underneath. The idea is a set that lands for a mixed room rather than one nationality. Bookings run from solo guitar through to an eight piece band, and dancers can be added for floor shows in Spanish flamenco, tango, salsa, cabaret, Mexican folk or Brazilian styles. Weddings, corporate functions, birthdays, public events and roving performances all suit.
