Heidi Hodeo's One Woman Rodeo

Twenty hula hoops spin at once in this circus-rodeo act, built around a cowgirl theme rather than a straight juggling set. A lasso trick and a turn riding an acrobatic pony called Smokey sit alongside the hoop work, with cute fringing and hat tricks adding to the country styling. Wollongong is home base, and the act has performed at Tassie Circus Fest, Tamworth Country Music Festival, KidsFest, Viva Fest and Circus Monoxide Cabaret among others. Kids' shows, adult shows, cabaret sets, roving spots and MC or hosting work all sit within the one act, and workshops are available on top of performance bookings. Behind the rodeo persona is performer Heidi Hillier, who also teaches hula hoop, comic character work and circus aerials.
