Heywood's Heroes

Three players, a compact patch of floor about 4m by 3m, and a sound built on roots rock with the volume up. Heywood's Heroes work out of Newcastle with vocals and electric guitar, bass and a drum kit, leaning on prog rock and 70s blues rock with Celtic and traditional threads running underneath. Most of what they play is their own: Outta Here, Fool's Gold, Fatal Shore, Rhythm of the Road. Then a handful of 60s and 70s covers turn up, Coming Into Los Angeles and Country Honk among them, plus Willin' and She Caught the Katie. The style shifts across roots, electric blues, a bit of country and folk rock. They carry public liability cover is in place.
