Country rock and blues is the lane, and this Mornington duo stays in it deliberately. Australian and American covers sit next to Carruthers originals like Just Too Sentimental, Love That's Been and Cruising Along, alongside Tequila Sunrise, Fire & Rain, Mr Bojangles, Under The Boardwalk and Down Under. Ballads, classic country rock and dance tunes get shuffled to suit the gig, aimed squarely at an over 40s crowd. This is entertainment rather than background music, and audience engagement is the whole approach. If the event calls for more, they can add experienced players on bass, drums, sax, flute, piano and fiddle.
