About this act
Named for the street they came out of, Horatio are three Brisbane musicians playing soul, jazz and rearranged pop over a solid rhythmic backbone. Think flavoured keys, tight funk grooves and rich percussion doing the heavy lifting. The players came together from separate projects, some of which have appeared at national festivals and others that keep them in regular rotation around the Brisbane scene. The result is a trio sound that fills a space without needing to be loud about it, and it adapts to whatever the occasion is.
