Hot Potato

Hot Potato Band don't stay on stage. This roaming offshoot of the Sydney brass collective walks straight into the crowd, and rooms tend to become dance floors shortly afterwards. Over more than 15 years the band has put together and toured its own shows across Australia, New Zealand, Europe, the Pacific Islands and the Middle East. Genre doesn't really enter into it. They've taken the traditional brass band and rebuilt it as something closer to a dance act with a visual side, held together by spontaneity and a slightly odd sense of humour.
