Hugo Brown came up in Tasmania and now works out of Melbourne in the underground house scene. He marked ten years of releasing music in 2024, and his first album, Full Circle, landed in January 2025. That record traces where his taste came from, folding jazz, hip-hop and soul into house, with jazz players Wilsen Conn and Lachlan Daff brought in to fill it out. A set from him tends to reflect the same instincts. House, but with actual musicianship underneath it.
