Humphrey Cornthwaite

Canberra has been home for the past fifteen years, so Humphrey Cornthwaite counts as a local. He's a member of the Magic Circle, which you don't join by applying: you perform in front of your peers and they decide. Close-up work covers cards, rope, escapes, silks, coins and a bit of string. The stage show takes in a straitjacket escape, cups and balls, cards, routines with your money rather than his, and razors, which he eats. Audience participation is part of it. The whole thing is self-contained and can be tailored to the event, which makes him a fit for corporate functions, weddings, parties and roving spots. He also works as a wedding MC.
