You will not hear Khe Sanh at an Iffy Pop gig. No Jessie's Girl, no Horses, no Brown Eyed Girl either. The Bendigo band built their reputation on the songs you forgot you loved, played with a funky twist and absolutely no backing tracks. A typical night is three sets of 45 minutes or more, opening acoustic and easing into foot-tapping territory before the dancing starts properly. They're multi-instrumentalists, so expect trumpet, trombone, glockenspiel, ukulele, harmonica and melodica to appear in a covers band setup where they normally wouldn't. Love Shack, Come On Eileen, Groove Is In The Heart, Little Lion Man, I Will Survive and plenty more. They can play it subdued if you want, but that's not where their heart is.
