Ingrid Cumming

A Whadjuk Balardong Noongar woman from Fremantle, Ingrid Cumming works as a facilitator, speaker and Master of Ceremonies. Her Elders gave her the name Ngoorlak, after the Carnaby cockatoo associated with rain, healing and change. She runs a wholly First Nations owned business certified by Supply Nation, and has worked across government, Aboriginal-controlled organisations, corporate clients and the not-for-profit sector on community engagement, policy and leadership. Beyond keynote presentations she offers Welcome to Country, smoking ceremonies and cultural awareness training, and has appeared on national television discussing her research and advocacy work. An alumna of Murdoch University and Melbourne Business School, she has also served on several boards, including a term as a Commissioner for Conservation with the WA government.
