Allan Turner

Allan Turner speaks about loss, and about what people can do with it. He co-founded Zaidee's Rainbow Foundation with his wife Kim, in memory of their daughter Zaidee, who died suddenly in December 2004 from a burst blood vessel in her brain. Since then he's built a national campaign for organ and tissue donation, drawing backing from the AFL, NRL, cricket, basketball, soccer and hockey, and putting Zaidee's rainbow shoelaces on grassroots players around the country. His talk walks an audience through that story. It lands personally and it lands at work, and it asks a straight question about what a life is for. He needs a projector, a screen with sound and a lapel microphone.
