Jacob Steen

Jacob Steen's professional stage debut came in Mary Poppins the Musical, produced by the Michael Cassel Group, followed by a place in the first Australian ensemble to stage Groundhog Day the Musical for GWB Entertainment. Since then he has taken on Ted Hanover in a production of Holiday Inn drawn from Irving Berlin's score, the role of Seaweed J. Stubbs in a Perth staging of Hairspray, and Young Buddy in a Victorian Opera production of Follies. His training runs from an early grounding in jazz and tap dance through to a first year studying music theatre at a Victorian conservatory, taking in ballet, acrobatics and contemporary technique along the way.
