Jake Waterman

West Coast Eagles forward Jake Waterman was picked up with the club's final and seventy-seventh overall selection in the 2016 national draft, as a father-son selection. His debut came in round one of 2018, a twenty-nine point loss to Sydney at Optus Stadium, and by round six that year he had earned an AFL Rising Star nomination on the back of fourteen disposals, five marks and two goals against Fremantle. His 2024 season included a career-high six goals against Richmond, five more the following week in the Western Derby, and another five in a win over Melbourne. He finished that year as the club's leading goalkicker with fifty-three goals from twenty games, fifth in the Coleman Medal and a place in the All-Australian team.
