James Locksmith

Twenty-five years behind the decks have given James Locksmith a wide net to throw. House, disco, jazz, hip hop, soul and sounds from further afield all end up in his sets, chosen rather than shuffled. He's Sydney born and has worked across Australia, the Middle East, SWANA and Europe, which shows up in what he plays. The approach shifts with the room: an intimate listening session gets a different set from an underground club, and a festival stage gets something else again. What stays constant is the storytelling running underneath it.
