James Taylor Tribute Show

This is a biographical show as much as a concert. It runs through James Taylor's best known songs and a few of the quieter, more obscure ones, with the stories behind them told between numbers: how he folded late 60s folk into the new rock, and the choice in the mid 70s that changed the direction of everything after it. Carolina In My Mind, Sweet Baby James, Shower The People and Fire And Rain all get an airing, along with some Carole King, Joni Mitchell and Carly Simon. Good for a seated room, a festival stage or a function where people actually want to listen. Melbourne based, and the storytelling is clear enough that you don't need to know the catalogue going in.
