A production of Once the Musical put these two in the same cast, and they've been singing together ever since, both in the a cappella cabaret outfit Ginger and Tonic and in this acoustic covers duo. Lisa Hanley brings music theatre, Jane Patterson brings classical violin training, and the result is a pop duo built on soulful harmonies with a violin line running through it. Over five hours of material, most of it pop and classics stretching from the sixties to now, plenty of it rearranged for guitar, violin and two voices. Aretha, Amy Winehouse, Carole King, Crowded House, Coldplay, the Beatles. People dance to it, but it also sits well at the classier, more laid back end of an evening. Melbourne based. They bring the sound gear for small to large venues, and just need a power socket and a flat dry spot.
