BATTERIE is the project of Jared Underwood, an award winning musician, composer, percussionist and experimentalist who graduated from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and AFTRS. The live show combines improvised drums, synthesisers, sampling, live looping and electronics into a solo performance that goes well past what one person on a stage usually manages. The music is instrumental electronica drawing on IDM, electro, chiptune, breakbeat, experimental rock and post rave. Highlights include supporting the New York art rock band Gang Gang Dance.
