Jason Vorherr

Jason Vorherr has spent decades in the Australian music industry, best known as the long time bass guitarist for Daryl Braithwaite, playing stages here and internationally. He has shared stages and collaborated with Glenn Shorrock, Russell Morris, Brian Cadd and Jack Jones. As a solo artist he writes in a distinctly Australian voice, catching snapshots of everyday life: suburban streets, ordinary heroes, and the humour and resilience that turn up in Australian communities. Country, folk and classic pop all feed into it, and it sits squarely in the tradition of Australian narrative songwriting. He lives and works in Melbourne's Dandenong Ranges.
