Jay Boats is an award-winning songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who works as a one-man band, with guitar and toe-tapping foot percussion carrying a set across a wide range of genres. He calls himself a walking jukebox, and the description fits. He's a recipient of the Port Fairy Folk Festival Songwriter's Award, and though he's best known solo, he regularly accompanies other singers including Natalie Bassingthwaighte and Hayley Clare. Plenty going on for one person on a stage.
