Jeff Usher

Dr Jeff Usher is one of Queensland's foremost jazz and blues musicians: a pianist, composer and blues singer with seven jazz albums recorded. He holds a Masters of Music from the Queensland Conservatorium at Griffith University and a PhD in music composition from the University of Queensland, and he has been teaching at the Conservatorium since 1998. Academic credentials do not always translate to a good night in a room. In his case they do, because the blues came first.
